Modules
D1 Identifying Needs in CCD
The purpose of this module is to assist
experienced and new community cultural development
workers and consultants to further develop
their research skills. This module will
enable the student to plan and conduct medium
to large scale community research projects
through a range of consultation practices
and methods, and in particular, to conduct
participatory action research.
D2 Obtaining Funding for CCD Projects
This module is designed for community cultural
development workers who have taken on the
responsibility to initiate, plan and manage
projects. The module provides learners with
the skills and knowledge to locate sources
of funding and support for a project from
government and non-government sources, analyse
and match funding guidelines and criteria
to project proposals, and develop and implement
strategies for obtaining funding and support.
D3 Working With Groups Within a Community
Network
The purpose of this module is to provide
learners with the skills and knowledge to
plan broad strategies for working with community
groups and develop programs and activities
to assist in networking within a community.
D4 Marketing and Promotion of CCD
The purpose of this module is to provide learners with
the skills and knowledge to conduct market
research, develop marketing plans and promote
programs and activities, all with a specific
focus on the particular marketing and promotional
issues in community cultural development
activities.
D8-D11 Manage CCD Project Work
The purpose of this module is to provide
learners with the skills and knowledge to
manage the development, implementation and
evaluation of a community cultural development
project, which incorporates an area of art
form practice. Modules specifically refer
to music, dance, visual arts and theatre,
but other artforms can also be accommodated.
DATES + COSTS
Enrolment
Enrolments have now closed. The next intake will be April 2006.
CCDNSW will issue a letter confirming your enrolment status in May. Accompanying this letter will be an invoice for $125 for each module you have enrolled in, for online
activation.
Online activation
'Online activation' sees all students provided with an online status for each module in which they
have enrolled in. Please refer to the ‘Costs’ section below for details on payments.
Conclusion of course
All modules must be completed no later than 30 November 2005.

D1 : $325 [includes online activation fee of $125]
D2 : $325 [includes online activation fee of $125]
D3 : $325 [includes online activation fee of $125]
D4 : $325 [includes online activation fee of $125]
D8-11 : $420 [includes online activation fee of $125]
Total Diploma cost: $1,720 [no GST charged]
Payment schedule
The $125 fee covers your online activation for each module on the WebCT online facilitation. CCDNSW
requires you to pay this fee prior to the Online activation date.
The remainder of the module fee is due in-full no later than 3 weeks after the online activation date. A second
invoice for this amount will be sent to you after the online activation date.
Refunds
The online activation fee will be refunded in full ONLY if you withdraw prior to the Online activation date. Once your online status is activated the $125 fee per module will no longer be refundable.
